SOA Audits are meant to allow sparring with competent peers to validate the SOA Development Strategy and allow EAI and SOA vendors to determine the market position and detect weaknesses in the offers.

You developed great software for EAI. You have great ambitions to play a major rule at the edge of the latest technology in EAI. And you need someone from the outside that has a look on your software, your plans and speaks openly and honestly with you. You need someone who knows the both ends of the market − the customers as well as the competition − to tell you the truth.

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great ones make you feel that you too, can become great." - Mark Twain

You need an alien who does not cheer your software but tells you from a panaromic view what is right and wrong with your software. You need someone to review your priorities and to tell you what is illusion and where you are blind.

Blue Elephant League will serve you as your sparring partner. In a workshop exclusively prepared for you a Blue Elephant will listen what you have to offer. The Blue Elephant will then challenge your proposals from different roles.

The Blue Elephant will wear the cap of your potential customer. It will tell you what the true sorrows and desires of corporate management are.

The Blue Elephant will step into the role of the customer's CIO and challenge the quality and reliability of your software. And the Blue Elephant will want to make sure that your company has the ability to execute the ambition and vision you propose.

The Blue Elephant Sparring is a dedicated workshop to assess your EAI vision and abaility to execute. The investigated areas are

  • Position of your offer compared to competitors
  • Position of your offer with respect to state of the art and latest research results

Value of your offer for customers

  • Agility of your development
  • Degree of vision and ability to lead future trends
  • Reliability, quality and risk awareness of your software and service

The assessment will happen similarily to what you may know from hearing a scientific theory by a review panel. It will be a discussion between peers and address both the technical and non-technical i.e. management views. We will throughly listen to your description of the service and ask questions to get a detailed understanding. We will point out the areas where we detect weaknesses and fuzzyness in your presentation and where your offer may carry a high or unpredictable risk for the customer.

The seminar will result in a common resolution where the Blue Elephants understanding of your proposal is brought precisely to paper along with a well argued and reasoned criticism of the offer. As an outcome it should enable you to rate your psoition in the market and how customer's you can react towards potential customers. Resultinmg from here you will have a widely clearer view on where you can concentrate your marketing efforts and in which areas you need to invest best in research and further development of your services.

Finally the Blue Elephant will be clear with praise or depreciation of your offer. Lousy implementation will be called just so! Great software will be called great!

You will feed the Blue Elephant mainly for one virtue: for honesty!
