SAP (tm) Netweaver Process Infrastructure (PI, XI)
SAP Process Infrastructure (formerly known as Exchange Infrastructure) is one of several middleware component delivered by SAP. It was developed in the early years of the 2000 millenium as the successor of the SAP Business Connector, which is a branded version of the WebMethods middleware. There are several other middleware products part of the SAP Netweaver suite.
